Process Launchs Bastille's site > G-Star and Fillippa-K

Modernism and Simplicity at it best. As modernist ourselves, our Process Creative team gathered around to simplify your shopping experience. Ease of use and navigation were considered in the goal of un-cluttering your shopping experience. The focus is on the product and not the site, not the marketing, and not the fluff.

Process designers, Hall, Roy, and Matt come together in this minimalist design for Bastille, a premium exclusive retailer for Fillippa-K and G-Star. Sometimes it is the simplest of things that become our favorites.

Skullcandy Floormat Ready to Ship

A special project came down from Jeff at Skullcandy. Lets make a floor mat. Sure, why not. Well, we got a little serious about our floor mats and ended up making the quite the monstrosity of a floor mat. It didn’t take long till we started tooling and molding a mat that we through could outlive the shop it was going to be put in.

Our intentions to design and build the typical shop mat got a little out of control. But hey, who’s going to complain. This piece of art is rock solid and will outlast you.

Hong Kong Lights

Where’s the McDonalds? Oh there’s plenty of them in Hong Kong, as Mike and I search through Hong Kong looking for American Establishments.

We’ve taken many friends and clients through China, from small street vendors to gourmet dinning, these isn’t anything that rivals the food culture in China. So why are we eating at Ruth’s Chris Steak House one day and searching for McDonalds the other, and other, and other. Well, I guess not everybody loves Asian food as much as we do. Mike and the Nixon crew…. your missing out. This is the meeca!!! you in Yankee stadium… Eat a hot dog!. Your in China… find the McDonalds.

Well, I will say although ive seen hundreds of McDonalds in China this is the first time ive ate at one. Mike, this spicy soy sauce chicken sandwich is kinda weird with ranch on it. It was quite the clash of culture. The soy sauce chicken is familar…. so is the ranch…. SO WEIRD!

Process China Designs and Develops the Roxy Team Glove

The challenge was to develop a glove for the pickiest crowd of all time. The Roxy Pro-snowboard team. With endless options of gloves this glove had to be above and beyond all other gloves to satisfy the likes of the team.

Process started by gathering old glove favorites from the snowboard team. A through survey was constructed interviewing team member for: Fit, Style, Materials, Utility. We surveyed Torah Bright, Amber Stackhouse, Erin Comstock, Jessica Dalpiaz and more. A second survey was also constructed for retail channels to analyze retail aspects such as : Price point, Marketability, Color, Feasibility at retail. The goal was to develop a glove that not only can be embraced by the Pro-Team, but also the end retailers and consumers.

Process Agency :: China presents the sample glove. A throwback styled glove made from hand soft leather imported from Europe. Top and bottom of the palm received the soft leather treatment. A progressive slim fit was accomplished by milling and controlling cotton lining through varying areas of the glove. Palm support in crucial areas was articulated for optimal flex and mobility. A glove that gives you the ultimate mobility and style.

Our best attempt at being gangstaz

Skullcandy drops a photo of Process’s Lee on their website.

Yes we make ganstaz bling in China! Although the gold plated skulls on a chain probably weren’t intended to be made into ganstaz bling. Our factory had no real idea what this was being produced for in the first place, as with most items they make for the US.

Noteworthy enough to make it on Skullcandy’s site however : Lee’s phenomenal job with this interpretation of Jamie Kennedy’s Malibu’s most wanted…

Honey whats that? Strange...dead animals? Oh dear, must be a new city ordinance

What? This is a Illegal Campaign? Never heard of it. We don’t know who’s idea this was, no idea who designed it or manufactured it… Mums the word.

We can tell you if you see one of these in your local neighborhood you’ll probably think “huh? whats that? “ The campaign was erected early June 2009, and we’re happy to say all erected signs are still directing traffic. Its a funny concept… if you make something so legitimate and so official, who’s going to question it? So far no one has. Not to mention someone made these soo bomb proof they wouldn’t come down without the right tools.

1.8 mm aluminum steel, di-cut to spec sizing. Four welded through bracket mounts, 2 very official metal straps that will not release, reflective yellow powder-coating pigment base with black powder-coating graphic overlay. The real deal made to last forever… but we still don’t know who made it?

Eames Wide Mount Base for Fiberglass Chairs

We geek out when it comes to mid-century modern furniture. When the opportunity arised to produce a case study of the eiffel base for the mid-century fiberglass chairs produced by Ray and Charles Eames, Process Design Agency turned to their own collection of Eames chairs for inspiration.

The Eiffel base is a very sought after commodity, expecially for the mass production fiberglass chairs from the mid-century. Unfortunately Herman Miller does not distribute the Eiffel base, so you have many inspired Eiffel bases around the market retailing for around $100. That would solve the problem except for 90% of these mass production fiberglass chairs have a wide mount base, where all the Eiffel case study bases are actually narrow mount bases made for a limited production narrow mount fiberglass chair.

This is where Process Design Agency engineers come into place. With a new CAD of the Eiffel base and Process China directory Mr. Lee, Process will bring to market the “Wide Mount Eiffel Base” specifically engineered and designed for the Eames Fiberglass side and arm chair. For more information on when you can start your mid-century fiberglass chair collection, contact Process Design Agency 801.532.3457

Monavie 08 Believe Convention - Salt Lake City, Utah

Monavie enlisted Process Agency for their 2008 convention branding and graphics. The convention titled “Believe” was a suitable task for Pablo Airth, project art director. Pablo, being very familar with Monavie’s brand direction, took the lead and presented Monavie with multiple concepts for the Believe identity.

The 2008 Believe Convention, located at the Salt Palace, Salt Lake City was within 6 blocks from Process Studios. It was a field trip for the Process crew, as we took a break to visit Mark Frank Montoya and other Monavie athletes at the convention. As always the Monavie convention was a spectacular event with packed with people, and full of inspiration. In our opinion this is one of the best events hosted locally in Salt Lake City. The people, the passion, and the brand, brings all of us together. Monavie Believe 08.

Oakley Tours the Nation 2009

Viva la Revolution!… The Oakley Rev Tour that is. Process agency recently joined forces with the eyewear and apparel maverick, to create a line of posters and apparel for the series of events touring the nation. The Oakley Revolution tour is a one of a kind affair showcasing the brand, team, product offering, and eyewear customization capabilities. Our inspiration came from the Russian posters of old, with a twist. Process also designed the t-shirts that you’ll be able to pick up at each event (they look great with a pair of Frogskins). Look for the Oakley Rev Tour, coming to a town near you.

The ever changing landscape adopts Starbucks

Its not often our China QC Manufacturing trips are worth blogging about. But this is pretty much front page news to us while we were in China. We found a STARBUCKS in CHINA!! After a week of Chicken heads and Fish heads it was comforting for our US team to find a little part of home in Starbucks… and yes a latte is made exactly the same in China as it is here in the US. Count on Starbucks for consistency.

From Blindside Clothing production to SkullCandy promotional items, Process China was on point and operating at full potential. Factory samples for SIA, PGA, and OR all on track and QC approved, it was time to relax and eat…

As much as we love our Chinese team and their passion for hot water and animal heads, it was sure refreshing to be at a Starbucks where you can ditch it all for a ice latte…. ICE is rare in China if you didn’t know.

Its a wrap...!

The 2009 Technine website is live at last. With a little collaboration with Technine’s own E-Stone, and a little finesse from Process, Technine’s 2009 web presence was born. The site has been re-invented and re-built to incorporate an html based site which integrates flash, video and motion features coming together for one cohesively branded and functioning site.

Lead creative Michael Hall, and Project Manager Jess Roy took the reins to utilize the many talents of the team to launch this site with a ‘Bang!’. Have a look at the end result at:

FIZ GOLF

Fiz Golf has taken the world by storm. From Salt Lake City USA to Guangzhou China, Heap and Lee have traveled the world for Design, Sourcing, Manufacturing and of coarse the launch at the PGA show.

FIZ… A unique and revolutionary brand, Fiz Golf has caught the eye of top executives and industry mavens. Fiz charged onto the scene last year by unveiling an eye popping tradeshow booth at the PGA show in Orlando, with a presence that won’t be soon forgotten. It was a golf industry revolution— a progressive, stylish, and modern product hailing from Salt Lake City, UT. The company was launched by founder, Aaron Heap with the help of Process Design Studio.

The Challenge : Create and release a brand that breathes life into the somewhat vapid golf industry with enough pop to stand out and leave a lasting impression.

The Result : A modern twist and a stylish brand that goes against the grain in the golf world. Process carefully crafted various aspects of the brand, ranging from: brand identity development, packaging design, tradeshow booth concepts, photography, and marketing materials.

With the success of the launch of the Fiz brand, and its first run of golf products, we are excited to announce another partnership between Process Design Studio, and Fiz for the development of a new product: Fiz Outside. We are taking the brand to the next level with this release, which promises to pack a punch. Stay tuned for upcoming news about Fiz Outside and Process Design.

The Skull Candy Challenge, Part 1

Process is always up for a challenge, and renegade headphone maverick, Skullcandy out of Park City, Utah gave us a doosey: design an innovative new point of purchase system to suit participating retailers on both the national and global scale. With US Design, China Ground team Sourcing and Manufacturing, Process’s full team is on board.

To jumpstart things, we dove headfirst into a market research survey, and questioned a sampling of retailers from coast to coast. Our research provided us with some interesting feedback which we used as fuel for the ‘idea fire’. From there, it was game on. We filtered, refined, and tested various concepts, each unique and with an individual twist to set the Skullcandy brand apart from the rest. We pitched our concepts to the Skullcandy team, and with each presentation Process upped the ante with new and fresh ideas which we are currently testing with various materials and manufacturing processes in CHINA. Anxious to see the final results? We are too. Check back soon for Part 2….

Process Launches VitaBrevis Films

For the studio’s launch of a partner videography company, VitaBrevis Films, our attitude can be summed up in two catch phrases: ‘Spare no expense’ and ‘By any means necessary’. 2 weeks later….we finished. You’d probably assume we’re talking about re-creating the Taj Mahal, but alas, no our unyielding efforts were to produce a DVD sleeve… uhh I mean, “THE DVD” sleeve. The final result was gorgeous. This is the stuff paper specialists and designers dream about: 140 pound double cover weight, uncoated, brushed cotton textured paper, gold leaf simulated foil stamping, hand sculpted embossing, specialty die-cut plates and hand scored and folded using ‘the bone’.

For more information on VitaBrevis Films, check out the new site: www.VitaBrevisFilms.com, and contact them for your very own promo DVD.

For more information on “THE DVD” sleeve design, or any other projects please contact Process Studios.

Process is trying to deliver more than goods for Technine

It’s a new year and a new concept. For the 2009 Technine product launch, Process assigned its lead creative, Mike Hall, to concept some ideas for the Technine magalog background. Unbenounced to everyone at Process, we ended up with this shot of Mike on the can. What’s even more amazing is that somehow Mr. Hall sold the client on his concept and bathroom photo. Technine loved it… HUH? Stay tuned to see what transpires from Mike’s new office chair— aka the john.

Process enlists an army for the Monavie T-Shirt Contest

Heading into another season, MonaVie contracted the soft goods team at Process Studios for creative ideas for T-shirts.

Process responded by enlisting 6 creatives and 2 artists for a multifaceted, creative approach to apparel design. The end result was a conceptual production run of 39 shirts. With treatments ranging from: Foils, Transfers, Flocking, Labels, Discharged Ink, Bleaching, Gels, Metallic Overlays, Embroidery, and beyond. It was a bit overboard, so a voting contest, was put into place to filter down the results.

With over 60 votes placed, the 39 designs were soon reduced to 16 and presented to MonaVie. The contest continues on which shirts will be selected for production. We’re all holding our breath with our fingers crossed.
